Terms of Service for AI Meal Planner

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AI Meal Planner (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AI Meal Planner ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

AI Meal Planner is a mobile application that provides AI-powered meal scanning, nutrition tracking, recipe generation, and meal planning features. Users can photograph meals to receive instant calorie and macro analysis, scan barcodes to look up packaged food nutrition, generate personalized recipes based on dietary goals, and organize meals in a visual weekly planner.

3. User Accounts

You may use the App anonymously with access to 3 free AI meal scans without creating an account. Creating an account requires a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep it up to date.

4. Subscription and Billing

Free Tier

The free tier includes 3 lifetime AI meal scans, barcode scanner access, and basic weekly planner functionality. No payment information is required to use the free tier.

Pro Subscription Tiers

• Weekly: $4.99/week with a 3-day free trial
• Monthly: $9.99/month
• Annual: $49.99/year with a 7-day free trial

Billing Terms

Billing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your platform. By subscribing, you authorize the applicable platform to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Free trial periods, if applicable, will convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions; Android: Google Play > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or its AI models
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App

6. Nutritional Information Disclaimer

The nutritional information provided by AI Meal Planner — including calorie counts, macro breakdowns, and dietary analysis — is generated by AI models and is an estimate for informational and tracking purposes only.

This information is not medical advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary guidance. Results may vary based on portion size, cooking method, ingredient variations, and other factors.

If you have a medical condition, food allergy, eating disorder, or are making significant dietary changes, please consult a qualified registered dietitian, nutritionist, or physician before acting on any information provided by the App.

7. Intellectual Property

All App content, including but not limited to the user interface design, graphics, software code, AI models, and branding, is owned by or licensed to AI Meal Planner and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any App content without our prior written consent.

User-generated content — including meal photos you submit and recipes you save — remains your property. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the App's features (e.g., sending meal images to our AI provider for analysis).

8. Limitation of Liability

AI Meal Planner is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AI Meal Planner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if we reasonably determine that you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

You may delete your account at any time from within the App settings, which will terminate your account and permanently delete your data.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.
